How It Happened
Siena jumped out early with three runs in the first and added to its lead in the fourth and fifth.

Ryan Parker settled in on the mound in the third, recording two strikeouts, while Sacred Heart got on the board in the second.

Will Rudolph reached on an error and later scored on a sacrifice fly from Will Cook after walks from Jacob Schmutz and Kyle Cincinnati loaded the bases.

The Pioneers chipped away throughout the middle innings. In the fifth, JW Fitzgerald walked, stole second, and came around to score on a single from Gavin Donohue. Sacred Heart added two more in the sixth as Cincinnati walked and CJ Nolan doubled, setting up a sacrifice fly from Peter Link and an RBI bunt single from Fitzgerald.

In the seventh, Gavin Donohue was hit by a pitch and later scored, while Rudolph and Cincinnati helped create more offense, with Nolan driving in another run. The bats stayed active in the eighth as Fitzgerald walked and Ronan Donohue singled before Gavin Donohue doubled to bring in a run, and Rudolph followed with another RBI single.

Siena broke the game open in the ninth with a large offensive inning.

Sacred Heart continued to fight in the bottom half, as Nolan walked, Link reached on an error, and Fitzgerald singled to load the bases. Gavin Donohue delivered a two-RBI single to score Nolan and Link, but the Pioneers ultimately fell 20–11.
