Biography

2015:

  • Second-Team All-NEC Third Baseman
  • MVP of 2015 NEC Tournament
  • Appeared in 54 of 56 games
  • Led team with .328 batting average, which ranked ninth in NEC
  • Was second on team with 35 runs scored and .395 on base percentage, and third with 59 hits, eight stolen bases and 15 walks
  • Ended season on 11-game hitting streak
  • Finished 4-5 with a run, RBI and stolen base at Yale on April 15
  • 3-5 with three runs, an RBI and walk against Wagner on May 10
  • Two three-hit games in NEC Tournament, including 3-5 performance that included the game-tying single that led to the game-winning run in championship game against Bryant on May 24  
  • On the mound, he finished 3-4 with a 3.29 ERA, which was second best on the team
  • Allowed one earned run in seven innings in a win at Richmond on April 11
  • Matched that performance in NEC Tournament game against Bryant on May 23, giving up just three hits

2014:

  • Second on team with 12 stolen bases, as well as third with 30 runs and 54 hits
  •  Batted .269 in 55 appearances with eight doubles and 19 RBI's
  • Also made five appearances out of the bullpen, pitching 7.1 innings
  • Went 2-3 with two RBI's, one, a double, and a triple in a two run victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on April 5
  • Season high 3-5 with two runs scored in April 12 victory at NJIT
  • Went 2-3 with two walks, one RBI, one run, and one double in an April 19 setback at Mount St. Mary's
  • Tied season-highs with 3-4 performance at LIU Brooklyn on April 26 and 3-6 effort with two runs in May 15 win at CCSU
  • Went 2-4 with a double in NEC tournament loss to CCSU on May 22
  • Lone scoreless relief appearances came on April 23 at Fairfiled

2013:

  • Appeared in 56 games in his debut season for the Pioneers
  • Batted .282 with 21 RBI and 10 walks in 177 at bats
  • Made his SHU debut on March 1st, 2013 against the University of Louisiana-Lafayette
  • Smacked three hits and drove in three runs in a 9-1 win over Fordham on March 17th
  • Medina was named NEC Rookie of the Week after going 5-7 with four RBI and four runs scored at the Frankie Frisch Invitational in the Bronx

Before SHU:

  • Played Varsity Baseball for four years at Manhattan Center High School
  • In 2011 and 2012, he earned First Team All Manhattan Post Honors
  • In 2012, he was named Captain and earned First Team All City Post Honors.
