Men’s Tennis Falls to Army at Season Opener

Vencl and Laennec-Baffrey secure No.1 doubles win
WEST POINT, N.Y – The Sacred Heart University men's tennis team fell to Army in the season opener at West Point Saturday afternoon, 5-2.
Matyas Vencl and Enrique Laennec-Baffrey secured the No. 1 doubles win, 6-3.
Antoine Hernandez won the super tiebreaker after splitting sets with Vishnu Bodavula at No. 3 singles 6-1, 5-7, 10-8.
At No. 5 singles, Lucca Lafrance secured the win in a similar fashion 6-4, 3-6, 10-4.
The Pioneers will return to West Point tomorrow, January 25, to face St. Bonaventure at 2 p.m.
