Pioneers secure first sweep of the season
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University men's tennis picks up first sweep of the season against Northeast Conference (NEC) opponent Wagner on Sunday night.
The Pioneers swept doubles play to secure the point. Lefteri Apostolou and Enrique Laennec-Baffrey defeated the Seahawks, 7-5, in the No. 1 spot. At No. 2 doubles, Matyas Vencl and Darius Eftekhar defeated Dobson and Rahman 6-4. Antoine Hernandez and Paul Goncalves topped off doubles play with a 6-4 decision over the Seahawks.
The Pioneers' momentum carried over to singles play, not dropping a single match.

The Pioneers return home Saturday, Feb. 24, to face Siena at 5:30 p.m.
