Hernandez secures singles and doubles win
BRONX, N.Y. – The Sacred Heart University men's tennis team defeated Fordham University Saturday afternoon 4-3.
In doubles play, Charlie Levinson and Antoine Hernandez secured the No. 3 doubles win 6-4. The Pioneers just fell short, unable to secure the doubles point.
In singles play, Lefteri Apostolou secured the No. 1 singles win with a 6-3, 7-5 decision over Nicholas Kanazirev. Matyas Vencl took the straight set win in a 6-1, 6-4 decision at No. 3. Paul Goncalves dominated at No. 5 with a 6-0, 6-2 decision over Bingru Chen. Darius Eftekhar battled through three sets to the clinch the win for the Pios with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 decision.
