Before SHU: Earned eight varsity letters at Newton North, including three in baseball, four in hockey, and 1 in football. Selected Bay State All-Conference from 2012-12, as well as being named the Bay State MVP in 2014. Was also named the Boston Globe Division 1A Player of the Year in 2014. Chosen as ESPN Boston & USA Today All-State. Served as the team captain in both his junior and senior season, and also was chosen as the team captain for the hockey team his senior year. Part of the 2013 and 2014 Bay State Carey Conference Championship team, as well as the 2014 Massachusetts D1A Baseball State Championship team. Honor roll student and named Boston Herald All-Scholastic.
