Senior Michelle Bruckner Named Sacred Heart Athlete-of-the-Week

FAIRFIELD, CT (March 31, 2003) - Senior Michelle Bruckner (Carle Place, NY) was named the Sacred Heart University Athlete of the Week for the week of March 24th through 30th.
The Carle Place, NY native had a consistently solid all-around week, putting up a total of 12 points to lead the Pioneers to a 2-1 week. Along with her eight goals and four assists, Bruckner contributed 13 ground ball pick-ups and six draw controls on the week. Her eight goals were the most by any Pioneer on the week, and her four goal, two assist, six point performance against St. Francis (PA) were all season-high. She leads Sacred Heart in scoring this season with 19 points on 15 goals and four assists. She also leads the team in draw controls with 12 and is second in ground balls with 20.
Bruckner and the rest of the Pioneers will return to action on Tuesday, April 1st, when they travel to Central Connecticut for a 7:30 pm start.
