SHU's Montesarchio and Bubeck Named All-NEC

FAIRFIELD, CT (April 29, 2005) - Sacred Heart senior JoAnn Montesarchio (Cortlandt Manor, NY) and sophomore Brianna Bubeck (Bethlehem, NY) earned All-Northeast Conference Women's Lacrosse honors announced Thursday afternoon by the league office. Montesarchio earned a spot on the first team while Bubeck was named to the second team.
Montesarchio earns first team accolades after being named to the second team each of the last two seasons. She led Sacred Heart in points (51 points, 38 goals, 13 assists), goals, assists, ground balls (38) and caused turnovers (24). The senior midfielder ranks among the league leaders in points, goals, assists and game winning goals (3).
Bubeck, a sophomore midfielder, is in the top ten in the league in both points (43 points, 33 goals, 10 assists) and goals.
