Athletics Streaming Audio and Video Now Offered Free All Year Long

FAIRFIELD, CT - Starting with the opening football game on August 30 at Assumption College, all Sacred Heart University audio and video broadcasts will be available to everyone free of charge.
A total of over 130 audio broadcasts are scheduled for the Pioneer Radio Network this season, including action from football, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's ice hockey, baseball, softball and men's lacrosse. The schedule also includes broadcasts for the first time for men's soccer, women's soccer, women's ice hockey and women's lacrosse.
In addition to the audiocasts, all home games played in the William H. Pitt Center will be videostreamed live. Plans are also in motion to videostream all action on campus field starting this fall, once the infrastructure installation is completed.
Jeff Holtz, the voice of the Pioneers, will handle play-by-play for football, basketball and men's ice hockey. Gene Gumbs, the other voice of the Pioneers, will call the action for the other sports. Rick Cohen will work color for men's hockey and softball broadcasts. Bill Peterson will handle color for some football and basketball games. Joe McGuigan will be supplying color commentary for soccer games.
