Amanda Williams named Enterprise Rent-A-Car / SHU Student-Athlete of the Week

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (April 28, 2008) - Junior Amanda Williams (Monroe, CT) was named the Enterprise Rent-A-Car / Sacred Heart Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 14th through 27th.
Williams helped guide the Pioneer women's lacrosse team to their first-ever Northeast Conference Championship over the weekend and in the process was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Williams collected nine points over the two games to earn MVP and all-tournament team honors. In Friday's 12-11 win over Monmouth, Williams tallied three goals and an assist with three draw wins. In Sunday's Championship game with Quinnipiac, Williams totalled five points, scoring three goals and assisting on two, including the game-winner with three seconds left. On the year Williams leads the team with 45 goals with 11 assists for 56 points. She was named to the All-NEC second team last week.
