Women's Lacrosse Season Opener Postponed Due To Snowstorm

With the snow currently falling throughout the region, which is expected to continue through later tonight, the 2014 season opener for the Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team has been postponed.

The game, versus crosstown rival Fairfield University, was originally to be played Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. The two teams have set March 26 as the make-up date for the contest, with the start time now at 3 p.m. on Campus Field.

The Pioneers, selected third in the preseason poll of Northeast Conference head coaches, will now open the 2014 campaign on Sunday, February 23 at Brown University. Sacred Heart's home opener will now be against in-state foe Yale University on February 26.
