
Caitlin Delaney Named NEC Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Junior midfielder Caitlin Delaney was named the Northeast Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Through two games so far in 2016, Delaney leads Sacred Heart with seven caused turnovers and 11 groundballs. Delaney had five caused turnovers and seven groundballs in the Pioneers' 14-10 win at Holy Cross on Saturday. She also leads the Pioneers with seven goals and nine points.
Sacred Heart closes its opening three-game road swing on Thursday with a 3 p.m. game at Iona.
