
Pioneers Fall 6-5 To NEC Foe Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team tell 6-5 to Northeast Conference host Robert Morris University at Joe Walton Stadium on Sunday. Emily Jamison scored with 49 seconds left in regulation, the Colonials only goal of the second half, to give RMU the victory.
FIRST HALF
- Sacred Heart scored first for the third straight game.
- Calandra had a point on each of the last three SHU goals of the half, including two assists.
- The Pioneers held an 7-4 edge in groundballs in the first half, with both teams
SECOND HALF
- SHU outshot RMU 4-3 in the second half and 3-2 in shots on goal
- Robert Morris won two of the three second half draw controls
INSIDE THE BOX
- Five different Pioneers scored goals on the afternoon, with a team-best three points (1G, 2A) from Calandra
- Delaney had an assist, six ground balls and three caused turnovers in the Pioneers effort
- Joseph had four draw controls for SHU
- Karwacki was the only Colonial with multiple points, scoring three times
- Paige Hammick made two saves for SHU, while Sarah Arnold recorded four for RMU
