Sacred Heart Selected to IWLCA Honor Squad

Eight Pioneers named to Division I Academic Honor Roll
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— The Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team earned a spot on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad, announced by the association on Wednesday.
The Pioneers have earned the prestigious honor for the fifth time in the last six seasons after posting a 3.40 grade point average in the 2021-22 academic year.
SHU was one of just six schools in the NEC to receive the award. To qualify for the honor, the team must have a 3.2 or higher GPA for the academic year.
In addition, eight Pioneers were selected to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. Mariah Daley and Caroline Wax receive the accolade for the third time in there careers while Bella Evans and Lydia Werlau earn it for the second time.
