Werlau Selected NEC Offensive Player of the Week

Graduate student led Pioneers with five goals at Saint Francis
SOMERSET, N.J.— Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse attacker Lydia Werlau was selected as this week's Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.
The Brewster, N.Y., native scored a game-high five goals in the Pioneers' first NEC victory at Saint Francis on Saturday.
This is Werlau's fifth player of the week and eighth conference weekly accolade of her career.
Wagner's Aileen Hannan was named Defensive Player of the Week while FDU's Brielle McInaw and Saint Francis's Bella Fisher were selected Co-Rookie of the Week.
SHU is back in action on Wednesday as it heads to CCSU for a 3 p.m. contest.
