Sophomore earns first league weekly accolade
SOMERSET, N.J.— Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse goalie Lisa Martin was named the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.
The Huntington Station, N.Y., native earns her first conference weekly accolade. Martin collected a season-high 11 saves at LIU on Apr. 23, helping the Pioneers clinch a share of the NEC Regular Season title.
Saint Francis took the other awards with Autumn McHenry being selected Player of the Week and Bella Fisher Rookie of the Week.
SHU closes out the regular season on Saturday, hosting Merrimack at 12 p.m.
