Women's Lacrosse Debuts 2024 Schedule

SHU opens the season at home against UMass Lowell on Sun., Feb. 11, at 12 pm
FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fresh off a 2023 Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship and an NCAA Tournament berth, the Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team released its 2024 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
The Pioneers will play 15 games during the 2024 campaign with seven home games scheduled at Campus Field to go along with eight road games. Of its 15 games, SHU will play 10 as a part of its Northeast Conference (NEC) slate.
SHU opens the season at home against UMass Lowell on Sun., Feb. 11, at 12 pm.
The Pioneers will then hit the road for a pair of non-conference bouts against Bryant (Feb. 17) and Brown (Feb. 24), before returning home for an intrastate showdown with the Bobcats of Quinnipiac (Feb. 28).
The month of March starts off with the Pioneers battling Le Moyne on the ninth in their NEC opener in Syracuse, N.Y. Four days later, SHU welcomes the Sharks of LIU (Mar. 13) to Campus Field for a mid-week matinee.
The next two games for the Pioneers are on the road against cross-town rival Fairfield (Mar. 16) and Howard (Mar. 23), before wrapping up the month at home against Stonehill (Mar. 27) and Delaware State (Mar. 30).
The Pioneers kick off April with back-to-back road games against FDU (Apr. 6) and Merrimack (Apr. 8). SHU closes out the month with three more conference contents, two at Campus Field and one on the road. The Pioneers will host both Saint Francis (Apr. 13) and Central Connecticut State University (Apr. 24). Sandwiched between those games will be an away contest against Wagner on the 20th.
