Nine Pios named to the Division 1 Academic Squad
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— The Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team was named to the 2024 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad. In addition, nine Pioneers were named to the Division I Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
Sacred Heart joins 325 schools in all Division I, II, III and NAIA in receiving this honor. The Pioneers have earned this accolade in seven out of the last eight seasons and was also one of just five schools in the NEC to receive the award. To qualify, the team must post a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
To be eligible for the Division I Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
