
IWLCA Honors Women’s Lacrosse for Classroom Achievements

Women's Lax earns IWLCA Academic Honor Squad status with 10 Pioneers on the Honor Roll
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass.— The Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team was named to the 2025 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad.
Sacred Heart joins 383 schools in all Division I, II, III and NAIA in receiving this honor. The Pioneers have earned this accolade in eight out of the last nine seasons and was also one of just seven schools in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) to receive the award. To qualify, the team must post a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
In addition, 10 Pioneers were named to the Division I Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.

To be eligible for the Division I Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
