The senior anchored the Pioneers’ defense during a 1-1 week in conference play
EDISON, N.J. – Senior Brooke Gyllenhaal of the Sacred Heart University women's lacrosse team was selected as this week's Jersey Mike's Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Gyllenhaal anchored the Pioneers' defense during a 1-1 week in conference play, recording a team-high six caused turnovers. The defender tallied four caused turnovers in the loss to Canisius and added two more in the win at Rider. Gyllenhaal also contributed five ground balls and secured four draw controls.
The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, April 18th, with a home showdown with the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Campus Field at 1 p.m.
