Laura Korutz concluded her 26th season as head coach of the Sacred Heart women’s lacrosse program in 2026, bringing more than a quarter-century of leadership to the Pioneer sidelines.
A native of Media, Pennsylvania, Korutz joined Sacred Heart following an accomplished playing career at the University of Massachusetts, where she graduated in 1999 with a degree in exercise science. A four-year starter for the Minutewomen, she finished her collegiate career ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in goals, assists, and total points.
In her senior season, Korutz served as team co-captain and earned preseason All-Atlantic 10 recognition. She was also named to the 1999 Atlantic 10 Championship All-Tournament Team, selected as a Northeast Regional All-American, and earned a spot on the 1999 IWLCA Academic All-American Team, highlighting both her on-field impact and academic excellence.
Since taking over the Sacred Heart program, Korutz has been a steady and consistent leader, guiding the Pioneers’ continued growth, development, and competitiveness at the collegiate level.
