Women's Lacrosse Opens Season With Loss At Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Sacred Heart women's lacrosse team opened the 2017 season on Saturday with a 19-0 loss to the Brown Bears at Stevenson-Pincence Field.
Sacred Heart (0-1) was outshot 35-16 in the game and committed 18 turnovers. Paige Hammick made seven saves in goal. Anna Finn had five shots, four of which were on goal. Caitlin Delaney had four shots, two groundballs, and two caused turnovers. Hanna Wise, Dominique Anselmin, and Samantha Carpinello also had two groundballs each.
The Pioneers are next in action next Saturday, Feb. 25, at La Salle at 12 p.m.
